Advanced Switching Concepts M1
Inter VLAN Routing:-A router or a layer3 device is required to allow communication between different VLANs. one host is separated the VLAN, member host the VLAN Can communication with each outher. This ability of routing between VLANs is called Inter-VLANrouting.
Router-on-stick:- The process of connecting one physical link with the trunked logical (sub) interface is known as Router-on-stick.
VLAN in switch
VLAN Access Control List - ACL:- VLANs are created to filter traffic that is moving from one host to another in the switched network, but to filter traffic moving within the same VLANs, we need either a router or a layer3 switch. VLAN access control list uses the layer3packet filtering technology.

In the above topology, both PCs are in the same VLAN and also in the same subnet. By configuring VLAN ACL, any specific traffic moving within the VLAN is filtered.
VLAN trunking protocol - VTP:- VTP is a protocol used between switches to simplify the management of VLANs Cisco proprietary VTP is used to create, manage and maintain a large network many interconnected switches. With VTP, you can make configuration changes centrally on a single catalyst series switch and have those changes automatically communicated to all the other switches in the network. VTP can manage the addition, deletion and renaming of VLANs from a central point without any manual intervention. This reduces network administration in a switched network. It has three modes, namely, server, client and Transparent.
Questions:-

What is VTP Client?
Explain Router-on-stick ?
Explain VTP ?
What is STP & Explain?
